I agree 100% you do not need to spend lots of money!!
I only use cheap homemade baits, mostly dough balls made from bisquick and Cornmeal mixed with milk.
I make my own bait with Bisquck and Cornmeal mixed with milk then chilled in the refigerator
Very true, fun and inexpensive. I use Wheaties and creme soda on a bolt rig.
